Excel Chart Maps used with the Geography Data Type

Combine the Geography Data type with a Chart Map. The Geography Data type is located on the Data tab, and Chart Map is on the Insert tab with the other chart types.

Excel - using the Scenario Manager to track house payments with skyrocketing mortgage rates

For potential homeowners, 1 year makes a HUGE difference. In 2021, we saw some of the lowest mortgage rates in the last 30 years. In July 2021, the average rate on 30-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgages was 2.87% (source FreddieMac). Today, July 2022, we are looking at rates around 5.8%.

Excel Images - Two New Features - IMAGE function and Data from Image

Excel Image Function

The new Excel IMAGE function enables you to insert images into cells with a formula. This great function allows you to sort, filter, and rearrange images.

Excel Highlight Every Nth Row with Conditional Formatting - Every 3rd, 4th, or 5th row.

Conditional Formatting in Excel allows you to highlight every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th row. Writing a formula using the MOD function and ROW function together allows us to do this.

Excel - Share a PivotTable without the Source Data or Underlying Data

When you share a PivotTable in Excel, even if you delete the data source worksheet, the data source is still attached to the PivotTable.

Excel COUNTIF Function With Wildcard Search and Cell Reference

The COUNTIF function in Excel allows you to only count the number of cells that meet certain criteria. For example, the number of cells that the HR department appears in. With COUNTIF, you can do a wildcard search by using * (asterisk).
