Excel Import Data from the Web

Excel allows you to pull data on a webpage into Excel. This is a great time-saving feature. Getting data from a webpage is done in Excel on the Data Tab using Get and Transform Data group, From Web command.

Three tips for getting started with Excel Charts
Charts in Microsoft Excel are easy. This short video shows three tips for creating charts. I'll cover two keyboard shortcuts for making charts, using Recommend Charts, and creating charts using Quick Analysis.
When you pull data from the web, you can pick the table on the webpage you want to use since many webpages have multiple tables on them.
You can also use PowerQuery to correct any web data that has the wrong data type or data you don't need. A connection to the webpage is made, and when the data changes on the webpage, the data can be automatically updated in Excel. That is AWESOME!
Get Started

Find a webpage with Tables on it. Copy the URL.

Go to Excel and click the Data tab.

Click From Web.

Paste the webpage URL (screen shot below)

Click OK.

The tables on the webpage will appear. Click the table you want to pull into Excel. You get a preview of the data.

Click Load or you can use Power Query to clean the data.
