NEW Teams  - Two New Features - October 2023

NEW Teams was released in preview mode in March 2023. There are currently two versions of Teams, and depending on your settings, you can easily switch between them. Classic Teams and New Teams (aka Teams 2.0). At some point in 2024, Classic Teams will go away. Microsoft keeps launching features for New Teams and occasionally incorporates those features in Classic Teams.

  2. Open conversation in new window.

  1. Click Teams on the side bar or navigation bar.
  2. Click to select a channel.
  3. Click More options (the three dots).
  4. Click See new posts at bottom.

Open conversation in new window

  1. Click Teams on the sidebar or navigation bar.
  2. Click to select a channel.
  3. Click More options in the conversation you want to open in a new window.
  4. Click Open conversation in new window.

 

Chats have had the ability to open in new windows for a while new. Opening conversations is a new feature in October 2023.
