Google Meet premium HD video conference will be available for free to everyone starting in May 2020 Google Meet premium video conferencing is now free for everyone! Google Meet is secure and easy to use. The video quality is exceptional. Meet can be used by businesses, governments, and schools. Google Meet is constantly being updated, and one recent change I've noticed is you can now view 16 people at one time.
Starting in early May, anyone with an email address can sign up for Meet and enjoy many of the same features available to our business and education users. Features such as simple scheduling and screen sharing, real-time captions, and layouts that adapt to your preference, including an expanded tiled view. In this "first-look" video at Google Meet, we take Meet on a test drive to see how easy it is to use and test the video quality and features of Meet.
Covered in this video are Meet features:
-
Close captions that are very accurate. Google Meet includes live captions powered by Google’s speech recognition technology
-
Share a Tab in Chrome
-
Share an application (Excel spreadsheet)
-
Show camera settings. HD and SD were both available. HD was the default.
-
Microphone setting
