Insert a Map Chart in Excel 2016

You can easily create a map chart in Excel 2016. The map chart uses Bing data for countries, regions, postal codes, and states. Simply select your data, click on the Insert tab, click Maps and a map will appear. You can change the color of the map and add or delete data and the map will refresh. This new feature came out in November 2016.

Steps to insert a Map chart in Excel 2016

  1. Select any cell within the data range.
  2. Click Insert > Charts > Recommended Charts, or Insert > Charts > Maps, then select the map chart.
  3. Once you press OK, Excel will insert your map.
